With Sanguine, a small sample of your blood and hair is all we need. We extract the carbon* — the same element that forms every diamond on Earth — and grow a laboratory diamond using high-pressure, high-temperature synthesis. The result is a gem that is chemically identical to any mined stone, but contains carbon that is biologically, uniquely, irreplaceably you.

The Science

Carbon is Carbon

Diamonds are crystallized carbon — nothing more, nothing less. Whether that carbon spent three billion years underground or was extracted from your blood this morning, the resulting crystal structure is identical: pure carbon arranged in a cubic lattice with a hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale.

Human blood contains approximately 9.5% carbon by weight*, and human hair is approximately 45% carbon by weight*. Our proprietary purification process isolates this carbon, then introduces it into an HPHT growth cell where temperatures exceed 1,500°C* and pressures reach 5–6 GPa* — replicating the conditions deep beneath the Earth's surface.

The result is a diamond that is chemically, physically, and optically identical to any gem pulled from the ground. The only difference? This one incorporates carbon sourced from your own biology*. Every Sanguine diamond is independently certified by IGI using the same rigorous 4C grading standards applied to mined stones.

Your order is confirmed and your Sanguine Collection Kit is prepared and shipped to your address via insured courier.
Week 2–3
Sample Collection
You receive the kit, provide a small blood sample (~2 teaspoons) and a lock of hair, and return via prepaid, temperature-controlled shipping.
Week 3–5
Carbon Purification
Our lab extracts and purifies carbon from your samples using aerospace-grade techniques. You receive a verification update with documentation.
Week 5–16
Diamond Growth
Your carbon enters the HPHT growth cell. Over 8–12 weeks, extreme pressure and heat crystallize your diamond. Video updates provided.
Week 16–20
Cut, Certify & Deliver
Your rough diamond is precision-cut, polished, graded by IGI, and hand-delivered to you with your Certificate of Origin.
